Microcasting Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy outlines how Microcasting, Inc. (“Microcasting,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles, stores, and protects the data provided by our clients and their users (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) while using the Microcasting Platform and services. This policy is designed to supplement our Master Subscription Agreement (MSA) and ensures compliance with applicable laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).


1. Data Collection and Usage

Microcasting may collect and process the following types of data as part of providing our services:

  • Client Data: Any data, including personally identifiable information (PII), provided by you or your users for use within the Microcasting Platform.
  • Client Content: Audio, visual, or textual content uploaded by you or your users.
  • Aggregate Metrics: Non-identifiable aggregate data for performance improvement and analytics purposes.

We use this data to:

  • Deliver and support our services as specified in the MSA.
  • Maintain the functionality of the Microcasting Platform for said Client.

2. Confidentiality Obligations

  • All Microcasting employees are bound by strict confidentiality agreements to ensure your data is not disclosed or misused.
  • Access to Client Data is restricted to employees who require it for legitimate business purposes, such as onboarding, technical support or troubleshooting.
  • Any employee found in violation of confidentiality obligations is subject to disciplinary action, including termination.

3. Data Protection and Security

Microcasting employs industry-standard security measures to safeguard Client Data, including:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using state-of-the-art protocols.
  • Access Controls: Restricted access is enforced through authentication and role-based permissions.
  • Monitoring: Regular audits and monitoring of data access to ensure compliance.

4. Data Retention

Microcasting retains Client Data only for the duration of the agreement or as otherwise required to provide the services. Upon termination of the agreement:

  • All Client Data will be securely deleted or returned upon request within 30 days.
  • A certificate of data deletion can be provided upon request.

5. Compliance with Privacy Laws

Microcasting complies with applicable data privacy laws, including:

  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): For clients in California, Microcasting ensures:
    • Your right to access and delete data upon request.
    • Transparency regarding how your data is collected and used.
    • Your right to opt out of data collection, if applicable.

6. Data Storage Location

All Client Data is stored in secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers, with region-specific options available to comply with local data residency laws. AWS data centers are SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.


7. Client Rights

Clients have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete their data upon request.
  • Receive a detailed account of how their data is being used.
  • Restrict data processing or object to specific uses of their data.

8. Updates to This Privacy Policy

Microcasting may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Clients will be notified of any changes at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect.
